Antique 1896 Union Stoneware Pitcher

Antique Union Stoneware Mustard Pitcher produced by the Union Stoneware Company based in Red Wing, Minnesota, which later merged into the famous Red Wing Union Stoneware Co. This pitcher dates back the late 19th century, around 1896. It features a two-tone brown glaze the top section displays a lighter, ribbed mustard/tan glaze, while the bottom section transitions into a darker albany-slip style brown glaze. This small, bulbous pitcher with a small pouring spout and single loop handle were originally manufactured to store and serve mustard and condiments.
