Authentic Antique Henry Disston & Sons Keyhole Saw

This saw features a narrow, tapered blade designed specifically for cutting small, intricate curves, circles, and tight openings in wooden surfaces. The unique pistol-grip wooden handle allowed the woodworker to exert alternating pushing and pulling pressure comfortably while working inside confined spaces. The two slotted screws at the base of the handle hold the interchangeable blade securely in position, a signature setup used by prominent historic toolmakers. This piece has a brass makers medallion that reads "H. DISSTON & SONS/ PHILADA" surrounding the iconic keystone eagle logo. Production of this tool is between 1896 and 1917.
