Vintage 1946 Seagram's Whiskey Bottle -Amber Glass 4/5 Quart. Embossed Prohibition Era History

Genuine piece of mid-century American history! Vintage heavy rich amber glass liquor bottle was manufactured in 1946 by the renowned Ball Brothers Glass Manufacturing Company, best known for their legendary Mason Jars.
Originally produced to bottle premium Joseph E Seagram & Sons Whiskey, this bottle features a fascinating collection of history-rich embossed details to make it a perfect addition to any home bar, man cave or vintage glass collection.
Embossing on bottle reads "Federal Law Forbids Sale or Reuse of this bottle" a legal mandate by the US government between 1935 and 1964 to combat illicit bootlegging after the repeal of Prohibition. It has "4/5 Quart" embossed near base, denoting the classic American "fifth" liquor measurement used prior to the 1980 metric transition.
Base markings include "B" logo authenticating production by Ball Brothers Glass,  a base code that identifies official federal permit number assigned to Joseph E Seagrass & Son, along with embossed date code and plant/mold markings.
This is a vintage item with imperfections and signs of wear due to use, storage and age. May have dirt inside.
