Vintage Boy Scout Trail Mess Kit

Vintage Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Aluminum Trail Mess Kit with canvas bag. The Boy Scouts of America designed these sets to serve as a complete, all-in-one individual camp kitchen. This set dates to the 1950s or 1960s era. The pieces are designed to fully nest inside each other so they can be securely tucked into the canvas carrying pouch. 9" x 8" x 3.5"

Kit includes

• Frying Pan (pan handle is missing from this kit)
• Stew Pot & Lid: feature wire bail handle and a loop on top of the lid for lifting over a campfire.
• Shallow Bowl/Plate: doubling as an eating plate and prep bowl.
• Small Metal Cup: Nests perfectly within the stew pot
• All pieces are Aluminum 

How It Packs Together

1. The small metal cup sits inside the stew pot.
2. The stew pot lid goes on top. The pot then nests inside the shallow bowl.
3. The folding handle of the frying pan flips over the bottom of the pan. And the pan covers the shallow bowl. (No handle with this set)
4. The entire nested pile slips into the canvas carrying pouch.

This is a vintage item with damage to canvas fabric, imperfections, stains, and discoloration from use and age.
